In the midst of mass layoffs in Microsoft, the company insisted that the CEO of play Phil Spencer does not retire “anytime”.

In a statement to The Verge, Kari Perez, head of Xbox Communications, said: “Phil will not retire anytime”.
That this means that Spencer will not take his imminent retirement, the declaration is quite vague with regard to rumors. There is also no official word of Spencer himself on his future plans.
Meanwhile, Microsoft’s communications chief Frank Shaw also brought to X / Twitter to respond to rumors, saying they were composed.
The next Xbox console is expected to be released in 2027 and is now “entirely in production”.
