Cleveland Guardians Starter Luis Ortiz was placed on a non -disciplinary paid leave of hours before it is planned to take the mound against Chicago Cubs on Thursday, said MLB.
Although MLB did not disclose the nature of his investigation, ESPN reported that she was linked to the game.
Two locations launched by Ortiz for a start are examined.

The non-disciplinary leave for Ortiz should cross the MLB All-Star break, with games incorporating for the second half of July 18.
The Guardians published a statement on the issue after the MLB announcement.
“The Guardians were informed by Major League Baseball that Luis Ortiz was put on leave by agreement with the Association of Players due to an ongoing investigation in the League.
“The guards are not allowed to comment more for the moment and will respect the league confidential investigation process.”

Ortiz launched 16 times for the Guardians this season, recording an MPM of 4.36 and 96 stick withdrawals.
