Murrier:
A violent confrontation broke out between two groups of local merchants at the GPO Chowk in Mall Road, transforming the area into a battlefield.
The two sides have recourse to air shots and used sticks and stones freely, leaving three people injured.
Several vehicles have also broken their windows, while tourists were seized by panic while a jostling broke out at the occupied GPO Chowk.
Police operations continued late at night. According to officials, 15 suspects involved in the fight and shots were arrested.
The incident occurred near Imtiaz Shaheed Road, where intense shots and stone peels took place during the confrontation. The Murrier district police officer (DPO) was immediate and deployed a strong police contingent on the scene.
MurrierS ASP and the local Sho have also reached the location with their teams.
Police recorded a case under various provisions of the anti -terrorist law and arrested 23 suspects belonging to the two groups. The suspects were produced before the Rawalpindi ATC judge who granted the accused’s four -day pre -trial detention.
