Islamabad:
As a political political freshness in Punjab, PTI announced on Friday that it would dispute the suspension of 26 of its AMPs from the Punjab assembly through legal channels and public mobilization.
The opposition party denounced the speaker’s unconstitutional and partisan “conduct, claiming that it has not been left without choice only to degenerate inside and outside the Assembly.
At a joint press conference in Islamabad, the secretary general of the PTI Salman Akram Raja, leader of the opposition to the Punjab assembly, Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar, and the main lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa condemned the actions of the Punjab government.
Party leaders denounced the “theft of the mandate” on February 8 while Bhachar accused the political elite of having installed a “false chief minister” while bringing workers out of the PTI of their home. “An undressing government which could not even use its past budget … if we have offended the dignity of a so-called” second queen “, then too bad, we will continue to do it.”
Bhachar promised that if the party was thrown outside the assembly, it would simply set up a “real assembly” in the streets. “We don’t care about the seats, but history will remember you.”
Speaking on occasion, Sardar Latif Khosa criticized the government for having repeatedly violated the Constitution, in particular with the 26th amendment followed by the suspension of 26 MPa. He deplored the erosion of human rights: “They want to bring fascism to KP; it harms democracy.”
“The verdict of the constitutional bench on the reserved seats was shameful, the electoral commission is even more.” He defended the rights of managers and workers imprisoned to meet Imran Khan, criticizing the inaction on corruption reports in Adiala prison.
Likewise, Salman Akram Raja criticized the administration for writing a “story of cruelty and oppression”. “No member can be forced to go out to protest,” he said, adding that the party would turn to the courts, but doubted that the rule of law still existed.
