Horse riding prohibited in Karachi in the context of Muharram security measures

Karachi: The Sindh government has imposed a riding prohibition as part of the measures taken to ensure the safety of Muharram processions and activities in the metropolis.

Muharram is one of the four sacred months of Islam. His 10th day, known as Ashura, marks the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PSL), as well as family members in the battle of Karbala.

While vehicles from the Super Highway are diverted from Liaquatabad No 10 in Nazimabad Chowrangi No 2.

People who travel from Liaquatabad are directed to Teen Hatti, Martin Road and Jail Road.

According to the Karachi traffic police diversion plan published on Friday, the commuters traveling from Hassan Square to PP Chowrangi can take the road to the cashmere under the overflight of the prison, then head to the company Light Signal (Sharea Quaideen), or use the overflight of the prison to reach Teen Hatti and Nishtar Road via Lasbela Chowk.
