One day after asking his supporters on X if a new American political party should be created, Elon Musk said on Saturday that the “America Party was formed”.
“By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you have it!” He said in a post on X.
“Today, the America party is trained to make your freedom.”
Musk’s announcement comes after President Donald Trump signed a law on tax and the spending on the law, to which Tesla’s billionaire director general opposed.
Musk spent hundreds of millions for Trump’s re -election and led the government’s ministry of efficiency under the Trump administration to reduce public spending, but both have come to disagreement about the bill.
Trump earlier this week threatened to cut billions of dollars in subsidies that Musk companies receive from the federal government.
Musk said before that he would start a new political party and spend money to overthrow the legislators who supported the bill.
The Republicans expressed their concern that Musk’s quarrel, increasingly, with Trump could harm their chances of protecting their majority in the mid-term congress elections in 2026.
