- A practical video of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 appeared briefly
- He showed the largest cover screen of this model
- The Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 should be launched on Wednesday
We have seen many leaks around the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 before the official launch of these folds – scheduled for Wednesday, July 9 – and this weekend, a practical video of Z Flip 7 appeared.
It was not long before the video, published by Mincu Andrei on X, was removed, but some fixed images of the clip were kept for posterity in Samobile. If it is authentic, it is the first time that we have a look at a fully functional Galaxy Z Flip 7.
The upgrade of the title here is the cover screen. Previous rumors had suggested that the outer screen would extend in size to wrap the modules in the camera, and this is indeed what we can see in the video and the images disclosed.
It seems that the additional screen space – with the cover screen reaching 4.1 inch 3.4 inch on the current Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 – will mainly be used to display the information on the date and time, according to this leak.
Thin and faster
While it was live, the practical video also showed some of the other rumor changes reaching the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The main display apparently extends from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inch, while it should also become thinner.
We have previously seen unofficial renderings of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, and it seems that the two will shave some fractions of a millimeter in terms of thickness, from front to back.
Otherwise, apart from a processor slowdown, we may not see much that is new with regard to the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The cameras are the same as the current model, for example, although we can get a larger battery.
The Z Fold 7 and the Z Flip 7 will both get their big unveiling on Wednesday July 9, and you can look live while reading the complete PK Press Club coverage. We should also get new portable devices, including the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8.
