Earlier, Sheikha Asma posted on Instagram: “My ninth 8000ER and one of the most difficult climbs that I faced. This mountain tested me in a way that I did not expect, from black ice under my feet to the fall of rock every few seconds ”.
Sheikha Asma is the first Qatari woman in Summit Mount Everest, Lhotse, Manaslu and K2, as well as the first Qatari woman to climb Ama Dablam.
She is also the first Qatari person in skiing at the North Pole.
During her ascent of Manaslu, she became the first Arabic person at top an eight kits without additional oxygen. It reached another important step in May 2024 by climbing for the second time LHOTE, also without additional oxygen, which makes it the first Arab to climb two 8000ers without using oxygen.
