Lahore:
The High Court of Lahore (LHC) accepted the request for the accusation on Tuesday for granting an opportunity to submit an answer concerning the pleadings filed by Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI), Ijaz Chaudhry, in four cases, registered against him during the riots of May 9.
The court postponed the hearing for deposit requests until Thursday.
An LHC division bench led by judge Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi heard requests for bail.
The accusation requested time to submit the response to the court.
The petitioner Ijaz Chaudhry supported his request for release under bail according to which he had nothing to do with the allegations leveled in the first information reports (FIR).
He allegedly alleged that he had been involved in forged and frivolous cases that were politically motivated.
He said nothing was available in the file to establish his link with the offenses described in the FIR.
He asked the court to give him a deposit.
