- IBM Power11 servers promise an availability of 99.9999%, and no scheduled time
- Quantum safety cryptography is preparing for future attacks
- Performance and efficiency are increasing in all areas
IBM has unveiled its new Power11 servers – new generation equipment designed to support artificial intelligence, hybrid cloud and automation applications with boosted performance and improved safety.
The company claims that the Power11 servers now have an ultra-high availability rate of 99.9999%, noting that the autonomous fix, live updates and rolling ups guarantee planned downtime throughout their life cycles.
Power11 servers are also evolving cyberattacks with an integrated quantum cryptography and ransomware threatening detection guaranteed less than a minute.

Speaking about “critical and high data intensity” workloads “that IBM power servers support through the bank, health care, retail and government, the company has revealed high -end, mid -range and entry -level servers to respond to a variety of workloads, all available from launch.
“Power11 will also be the first IBM Power server to support the IBM Spyre accelerator, the IBM Q4 2025 System-On-Chip which is specially designed for AI-intensity inference workloads,” added the company.
In addition to the waterproof future against emerging technologies, Power11 servers also represent a huge leap in front compared to previous generations, including 55% better basic performance than Power9, up to 45% capacity more and more in entry / mid -range models compared to Power10 and 2X performance by WATT compared to comparable X86 servers.
IBM has also noted that energy efficient mode could further improve the effectiveness of the server, up to 28%, when advanced performance is not necessary.
“We take advantage of the complete IBM battery to provide hybrid cloud, AI and automation capacities while relying on our reputation for decades as a hybrid infrastructure worthy of confidence for essential workloads,” said Tom McPherson, director general of electrical systems at IBM.
Although Power11 servers are set for general availability later this month (July 25, 2025), the IBM Spyre accelerator will only be added a later date in the last three months of 2025.
