Red Bull is also fourth in the manufacturers’ classification, behind the McLaren Dominants, Ferrari and Mercedes. Red Bull won the manufacturers’ championship in 2022 and 2023 before being eliminated from the throne in 2024 by McLaren. Red Bull had six manufacturers’ titles under Horner since 2010 and eight pilot titles.
“We would like to thank Christian Horner for his exceptional work in the past 20 years,” said Oliver Mintzlaff, director general of Red Bull for business projects and investments, in a press release.
“With his tireless commitment, his experience, his expertise and his innovative thought, he played a decisive role in creating the Red Bull race as one of the most successful and attractive teams of Formula 1. Thank you for everything, Christian, and will forever remain an important part of the history of our team.”
Red Bull also said that Horner “would forever remain an important part of the history of our team” but had not given any exact reason for the dismissal.

Red Bull started the season in flow after abandoning Sergio Perez to raise Liam Lawson. However, Lawson took a terrible start and was quickly replaced by Tsunoda. However, the Japanese pilot failed to mark one point in the last five races.
There are also questions to find out if Verstappen, the winner of the last four world championships, will remain in Red Bull for 2026.
Red Bull’s sister team Racing Bulls also received a reshuffle. With Laurent Mekies taking the post of director general of the Red Bull team, his role was fulfilled by Alan Permanent.
Permanent was the race director of the Racing Bulls.
“The spirit of the whole team (Racing Bulls) is incredible, and I firmly believe that this is only the beginning,” said Mekies in a statement through racing bulls.
