DPM, FM Dar meets the Malaysian PM, promises deeper links to the Anase forum

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Ishaq Dar, met Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Friday on the sidelines of the 32nd ministerial meeting of the Anase Regional Forum.

Dar expressed warm wishes of the Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and reiterated Islamabad’s commitment to deepen bilateral relations with Malaysia.

He also congratulated the management of Malaysia as president of the Anase for 2025.

Ibrahim made the feelings hot and said that he was looking forward to Prime Minister Shehbaz in Malaysia in October.

Dar thanked the Malaysian chief for hospitality and the successful organization of the Asean forum.

He also welcomed Malaysia’s practical stages to stimulate trade and investment between the two countries, after the visit of Prime Minister Ibrahim in Pakistan in October from last year.

Dar represents Pakistan at the Anase Regional Forum.

The high-level meeting brings together foreign ministers and the main representatives of 27 ARF member countries, as well as the Secretary General of the Anase, to deliberate on the main political and security challenges faced by the Asia-Pacific region.

On the agenda, the strengthening of peace, stability and multilateral cooperation thanks to a constructive dialogue.

During his stay in Kuala Lumpur, the DPM should also interact with members of the Pakistani diaspora in Malaysia.

Created in 1994, the ARF is a leading multilateral platform for political and security consultations in Asia-Pacific.
