- Gemini was spotted on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro with an IU 8
- There was no official announcement of Samsung still
- Google has promised to bring Gemini to Samsung and Sony Earbuds
Google has replaced the Google assistant with Gemini for some time now, and this deployment now extends to third -party products.
Galaxy Buds 3 PRO from Samsung is the first third -party headphones to get a Gemini upgrade, but they will not be the last: Google has promised to bring Gemini to more Samsung headphones and to Sony too.
The news comes via Android Authority, which notes that the deployment seems to occur very discreetly: it has simply appeared on the devices as a default voice assistant option on the devices running the only user interface 8.
If you select this option, the “Hey Google” command calls Gemini rather than the former assistant.
What headphones get Google Gemini?
We do not yet know the specific models, but Google promised in May that Gemini would arrive at a range of devices “more headphones from Sony and Samsung”.
This means that it is likely that we will see the update appear for at least the most recent models such as the Sony WF-1000XM5 as well as their successors, which could happen in the coming months.
As for the Samsung models, we are waiting for the official announcement and more details. Until now, we only know the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro compatibility via the ONE UI 8 update, but we do not know if users with IU 7 will also be supported – or which other Samsung models will also get the upgrade.
Google is investing a lot of time, energy and money in Gemini: yesterday, it announced a bunch of new features to come on Android, including a large upgrade for foldable phones, a search to improve Gemini and the start of gem integration with native phone applications such as notes, calendar and calendar and recall applications.
