In the fifth, Buxton obtained his sure fourth stroke of the match, but it was a single. In the seventh, he went to the marble for the fifth, and perhaps final, time. He quickly fell into a 0-2 hole, but that didn’t matter.

Buxton threw on a breakage ball of 80 mi / h which cut the lower part of the area, and he obtained everything. The ball has traveled 427 feet in the dead center, leaving its bat at 106 mi / h, and the crowd broke out.

It was the first cycle never affected in Target Field, which opened in 2010, and the first cycle by a twin since 2019, when Jorge Polanco accomplished the feat.

The last twin to strike for the home cycle was Michael Cuddy in 2009, which was the last season of the Metrodome.

Buxton finally shows what he can do on the field because he was healthy for the majority of the season. He has played more than 100 games twice since 2015, but he played in 77 of the 85 possible games this season.
