Ellen Degeneres spoke to support her colleague actress Rosie O’Donnell following a controversial remark made by US President Donald Trump.
Degeneres shared an article on Sunday with a screenshot of the recent Trump declaration alongside the daring response of O’Donnell. “Good for you, @rosie,” wrote Ellen in a solidarity program.
The quarrel rekindled after Trump said he was considering revoking American citizenship of O’Donnell, calling it “threat to humanity”.
“Due to the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interest of our big country, I seriously care to take her citizenship to take her away. She is a threat to humanity, and should remain in the wonderful country of Ireland, if they want it. May God bless America!” Read Trump’s declaration.
Although Trump cannot legally revoke his citizenship due to protections under the 14th amendment, O’Donnell dared to proceed.
“Hey Donald, did you shake yourself again? 18 years later and I still live without rent in this collapse brain. You call me a threat to humanity – but I am all that you fear,” started O’Donnell in his Instagram message.
“You want to revoke my citizenship? Go ahead and try, King Joffrey with a mandarin spraying tanning. I’m not for sileting. I have never been,” she added.
In a follow -up article, O’Donnell developed his decision to move to Ireland earlier this year with her 12 -year -old child, Clay, citing that his decision came in response to the policies of the current administration.
“The President of the United States has always hated the fact that I see him for whom he is-a man-criminal man abusing liar to harm our nation to use it,” wrote the personality of television.
“This is why I moved to Ireland,” she continued. “He is an old man without a dangerous soul with dementia that lacks compassion for empathy and fundamental humanity – I am in direct opposition [to] Everything it represents – also millions of others. You will expel all those who stand against your bad trends – [you’re] A bad joke that cannot form a coherent phrase #nevertrump. “”
O’Donnell has long criticized Trump and the policies of his administration, but the position came in the middle of the public outcry on the death of Jeffery Epstein – who was accused of multiple infractions relating to the sexual trafficking of minors – saying that the Trump administration had poorly managed the investigation into the case.
