Larry Lamb officially called time for his acting career with the end of Bbc sitcom Gavin and Stacey.
The last episode of Gavin and Stacey broadcast in 2024 as a Christmas special, which was also the Bbc Sitcom’s return to screens 14 years after the original final of the show.
“You get so involved with these characters that they become your favorite at that time, they are at the center of your life,” said the actor The Daily Mail.
“But to finish in my 1970s, playing a character like Mick who is loved by millions of people, you have to give credit to writers … at this stage of my career, Mick is closest to my heart.”
THE Oriental The 76 -year -old alum has also made a trip to the past when he confirmed his retirement to play.
“I had a very lucky career; I did so much that I am really proud of what few people know,” he said.
“I worked at the Royal Shakespeare Company, The National Theater, I went to 12 West End shows, I did all the main marginal theaters in London, on Broadway, I was very lucky and now I am very happy to let someone else play the big roles.”
He concluded: “I find that it is a reward, it is better to be known than unknown as far as I am concerned. Especially if you are known as a character that people really like … what way of ending your professional life.”
