Islamabad:
A Lower Court of Islamabad confirmed on Sunday the decision of the Directorate of the Municipal Administration (DMA) and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) to cancel the online contract granted to the AJCL company, qualifying fully legal termination and in accordance with administrative procedures.
The court rejected the AJCL appeal, strengthening the government’s commitment to transparency, legal supremacy and public interest. The main Nazir lawyer Jawad, representing the ADC and the DMA, presented what the court described as “solid legal evidence” to defend the cancellation of the contract.
The contract with the AJCL was officially revoked in June 2025 after the company was deemed in serious violation of several clauses, including financial irregularities and the unlike a system without species for parking.
The ADC spokesman told the media that several first information reports (FIR) had also been submitted by the DMA and the citizens concerned in local police posts against the company. The AJCL subsequently challenged the termination of the contract, requesting that the parking sites are not recovered and that the proposed reduction of intelligent parking sites is interrupted.
However, the court rejected all these complaints, declaring them baselessly and respecting the actions of the DMA as legally healthy and procedural.
Legal experts and civic stakeholders praised the decision, calling it a major step towards the application of transparency, maintaining the rule of law and improving urban services in Islamabad.
“This judgment allows us to take stronger and more effective steps to improve public facilities,” said a senior ADC official. “This verdict testifies to our commitment to good governance, transparency and merit -based decisions,” said the president of capital development (CDA) and chief commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Sunday.
The verdict was welcomed by ADC officials as a precedent move under the direction of the administration of the Talat Mahmood members and the application of the assistant DG and the DMA DR Anam Fatima.
The ADC has reiterated its commitment to modernize urban infrastructure, promising that no lack of governance or provision of public services would be tolerated.
