Freepik deploys an unlimited AI generation on the platform to pay users, which means that they will not be limited to ceilings or credits, as is the case with many other rival platforms.
Premium + and pro account holders now obtain a generation of unlimited videos and images, because Freepik becomes one of the first major platforms to completely delete restrictions.
Despite the lifted limits, users will always be limited in other aspects – for example, the video will be made in 768p resolution, using the minimax model since the launch.
Freepik raises the AI limits
The company has promised to add other models over time, the weekly launches scheduled for July 2025. Most of them will become unlimited, like Minimax, but some of the most powerful models like Veo 3 will be limited.
“We have decided to eliminate credits and offer an unlimited generation because we have understood that what retains users is not technology, but the friction of the user model,” said Freepik CEO, Joaquin Cuenca.
Cuenca stressed that accessibility, creativity and mass adoption were the main engines of the company, rather than monetizing limitations, the company expecting to absorb technological costs to promote long -term loyalty of platforms, which ultimately leads to more sustainable income from long -term customers.
To have access to a generation of unlimited videos and images, users must be on one of the two payment plans, from $ 24.50 per month.
“This is the real AI revolution: not only in what it can do, but in the way it is put at the service of people,” added Cuenca.
No details were shared on the upcoming models, but we know that the Premium + and Pro plans obtain a priority speed when using Chatgpt, Imagen 4 and Veo 3 compared to cheaper and free plans. They also have early access to the next AI features, with pro-top-tier customers obtaining the advanced AI models as soon as possible.
