Tesla presents Grok Ai in some of her cars, but she cannot control the vehicle … Yet

  • The major software update introduces the AI assistant to certain vehicles
  • It is only available on models with AMD Ryzen equipment
  • Grok is currently limited in its capacities

Tesla announced a major software update at the end of last week (2025.26, in case you are interested), which leads to a multitude of new lights, audio cam improvements and dashboard. However, the most notable is perhaps the introduction of Grok.

The original idea of Elon Musk’s XAI Society, Grok is a generative artificial intelligence chatbot that can answer questions and keep conversations, famous, it presents a “destroyed” mode which generally responds in a very prudent and not PC.

Now, the AI assistant has been presented to certain Tesla vehicles, although they are limited to American models with the Premium connectivity package and operate on AMD Ryzen Hardware, with most of them made from mid-2021.

For the moment, the software is able to connect to the web and answer the generic questions of the driver or the passenger, rather than taking care of the key features of the car, which would be, you know, quite useful. The old voice control system can always do it.
