- The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could have the same number of megapixels as last year, but at least an improved sensor
- The Middle Galaxy S26 model could have a new 50MP ultra-large camera
- Code names for the Samsung Galaxy S26 series have also disclosed
Usually, when a new phone model is starting, some aspects become much more improved than others, and in the case of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, it seems that the cameras can be one of the main objectives of the company, with a new report detailing several possible improvements in the sensors.
According to Winfuture, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a main 200 Mp sensor, which goes by another recent camera leak will be a new Sony sensor with a larger sensor.
Winfuture adds that as with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, there will also be a 50 MP telephoto lens (probably with a 5x optical zoom) and an ultra-large camera, whose specifications do not yet know. We assume that there will also be a 3X telephoto lens because there is on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but that is not mentioned here.
The same source also mentions the intermediate model in the Galaxy S26 line – which could be the Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus or the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge – saying that this has an ultra -large camera of 50 MP. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy S25 EDGE have 12MP ultra-large cameras, so whatever that of the successor, it would be an upgrade of the sensor.
So, if these tips are correct, at least one sensor will be improved on at least two Galaxy S26 models.
The following paradigm
The site has no information on the cameras of the base of Samsung Galaxy S26, but it came across code names, claiming that the Galaxy S26 is named NPA1, the Middle Model – which could still be S26 Plus or S26 EDGE – is named NPA2, and the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is named NPA3.
Since the S25 series was named PA1, PA2 and PA3, with the bit “PA” for “paradigm”, the site speculates that these new code names for “Next paradigm”.
In all cases, although no link is provided, Winfuture says that it has obtained these code names and this camera information from databases accessible to the public, the lists being clearly attributable to Samsung or its suppliers, there is therefore a good chance that these details will be accurate.
We should discover it at the beginning of next year, because it is probably when the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will be launched.
