- An owner of Nintendo Switch 2 would have been prohibited after playing legitimate second -hand games which were then deemed cloned
- The user of Reddit “ Danthey ” said they were able to reverse the ban after talking to Nintendo
- Nintendo repressed the hacking by limiting the consoles captured using hacking tools
An owner of Nintendo Switch 2 warns the players to buy second -hand physical games after being banned for playing the cloned versions without knowing.
Last month, it was reported that Nintendo reprimanded hacking and started blocking access to online services on the Switch 2 if the players were captured using Mig Flash, a tool used to create game copies.
But it seems that even innocent players are not immune to the strict anti-pirate policy of the company.
As IGN reported, Redditor ‘Danthey’ shared an article saying that they had been prohibited by Nintendo after charging original switching games that they bought on Facebook Marketplace.
The user explained that although physical copies were legitimate, he later discovered that the games had already been copied by the original owner, which was the reason why their console was limited.
“Switch 2 users – Be careful to buy used switching games.” I was banished and not banished after simply downloading fixes for 4 Switch 1 games that I bought on Facebook Marketplace. “
Danthey explained in the wire that they played without knowing it the original switching cartridges that were cloned using a device in terms of hacking.
“Basically, a thief buys / praise a game. They make a copy for themselves using the Dumper Mig,” said the user. “They resell the original game and keep a copy for themselves on their mig. Then you both banished when the Switch 2 is online.
Fortunately, Danthey was able to be non-banished after talking about Nintendo customer service and provided evidence of their purchase and their conversation with the Facebook Marketplace seller.
“I contacted Nintendo’s support and I discovered that I was forbidden,” they said. “They brought me up on the Facebook market list and take some pictures of the cartridges. The whole process was painless and fast.”
“Danthey” added: “the number of information they were crazy”.
“They could see my DDWRT ending points, the brand of my memory card, they even knew that I had a mouse and an EVGA keyboard connected to my switch 2,” they continued.
Another user was faced with a similar situation last month after buying Walmart Switch 2, only to find that he had been “ brick ” by Nintendo after having started it.
