- Samsung could have a brand new pen in his sleeve
- A corporate exercise revealed that Samsung is developing a new S Pen
- It will only come back when the device is fair, and if enough people want it
The pen died, long live the pen? Yes, although Samsung’s stylus jumped the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, it may not be goodbye forever-whether it is a return to future generations or a return for the Z Fold 7 itself.
It is according to Kang Min -Seok’s comments from Samsung – his chief planning of smartphone products – to the Etnews of the Korean outing. He explained that Samsung “Research and develops thinner and innovative technologies for the S pen” (Machine translated into Korean).
Adding that the pen will potentially come back “when the level of perfection increases and there is consumer demand”.
This could be aligned with the Hideep partnership in Samsung. The pair works on an S pen that does not require digitizer or internal battery – combining the best of the S -Battery pen and Apple pencil without scanning (via Samobile).
A new stylus design could explain why Samsung has deleted the scanner from its Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. If it hoped to have the new generation pen for the launch of the Z Fold 7, then why would it be its foldable with a component soon useless?
The fact that he is not yet here suggests that the stylus could have been delayed, or it could be that Samsung simply stands until its S26 Ultra launch to introduce a new S pen in the world. However, this leaves a frustrating gap of 6 months or if so that Z fold 7 users suffer without stylus.
Alternatively, binding to the other aspect of Samsung’s comment, it could simply that the pen S was not popular enough with the fold Z line to justify continuous support. And even if I have never felt the need to use a stylus, it seems as much Samsung’s decision as mine.
Samsung condemned the pen
If we believe the commentators online, the formidable missteps of the Z Fold 7 are sufficient to kill the foldable, but as a user passionate about Z Fold 6, I think that the reports of the death of the Z Fold 7 are very exaggerated.
I have never felt the need to use a pen pen, and I don’t expect me to miss it now.
If I ever needed to scratch notes or annotate, I could use my index, which was always fairly fast and precise for short annotations. Alternatively, I could type my annotation – either in full, using the scan to type, or word to text to accelerate things.
It was perhaps not entirely my decision, because the main factor of the decision to use the pen is not that I do not want to use one is that I do not have one.
The PlĂ© Z line did not come with an S pen like Samsung’s ultra phones, which means you have to buy the stylus separately. In addition, you must find your own storage solution for the S pen, and according to user reviews on the Samsung website, its official case S Pen Z Fold 6 is more than terrible.
So, if the use of the pen is low on the foldables of Samsung, I am barely surprised.
It is impossible to know how popular the reworked pen will be. While many are disappointed with the lack of stylus of the Zol 7, how many of them were really planning to buy the foldable, and would a new improved stylus change their decision?
I will never say no to an overhaul, but the real change I want to see is the next foldable leaflet from Samsung with the stylus in the box. This would make it a real ultra equivalent as Samsung promised it for the Z Fold 7.
