The government regulates Zaileen Travel in Iraq, Syria, Iran

Islamabad:

The Minister of Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, announced on Tuesday that the government had created an organized system for pilgrims visiting Iraq, Syria and Iran, which would be authorized by approved pilgrims operators.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, the minister revealed that the cabinet had approved the pilgrim group system organized in 2021 to facilitate the trip, but the registration process could not be done in the past four years. Now the system had been put in place.

He explained that before, there was no special system for pilgrims going to Iraq, Syria and Iran, and that a “Salar” was appointed to manage the arrangements. However, with the new system, the groups will be recorded to provide a more rationalized and effective experience for pilgrims.

The Minister announced that 1,413 requests had been received for the registration of pilgrim operators, 585 of whom were authorized. After a rigorous preselection process, 50 groups of pilgrims have completed all the steps and will be recorded. Yousuf urged the former candidates to the group of pilgrims to submit their documents by July 31, while the new candidates could submit their requests by August 10.

He said interior Minister Mohin Naqvi was currently in Iran to discuss the question of pilgrims.
