Nyt Strands Today (Game # 501) – Answers
The answers to today’s strands, the game # 501, are…
- Boxes
- MEZZANINE
- Entrance hall
- BALCONY
- Wings
- ORCHESTRA
- Spangram: Theaters
- My note: Easy
- My score: 1 index
I have not seen the Spangram theaters right away – maybe because I am wired to see the British spelling. Instead, I saw several non-game words in the heat, the radiator and the radiators. So I took the lazy option to start with an index.
The boxes have not helped me much to reduce things, but it made me think that we were looking for something on places and auditoriums. See two letters ZS helped me get the mezzanine – a nice word of survey – and once I got a hall, I knew we were looking for words associated with theaters.
It is a bit strange that the “scene” is lacking in search because you cannot have a theater without one, but it is my only chicping.
