The wide receiver of Kansas City chiefs, Rashee Rice, learned his punishment for his role in a vehicle accident in the Dallas region last year.
ESPN reported on Thursday that Dallas county judge had condemned probation rice and a one -month stay in prison. The probation period should last five years, according to the report.
Royce West, Rice’s lawyer, told Fox 4 Dallas Rice had pleaded guilty for criminal races on the highway and a crime accident causing bodily injuries.

The accident occurred in March 2024. In several reports, a vehicle was traveling at around 119 MPH when it collided with another car which was also moving on the speed limit.
Rice had already paid about $ 115,000 on return to cover the medical costs of the victims, said Fox 4 Dallas.

The league waited for the legal process to reach its conclusion before taking disciplinary measures against Rice. The judge’s decision could advance the disciplinary process of the NFL. If the rice is suspended, matches would probably lack during the 2025 season, ESPN reported.

Rice also obtained a deferred decision, paving the way for a dismissal to the success of his probation.
Rice made a statement shortly after the accident saying that he was cooperating with the authorities.
“Today, I met Dallas PD investigators concerning the accident on Saturday,” said Rice in a statement in April 2024. “I take full responsibility on my part in this case and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to all those who were affected in the accident on Saturday.”
Dashcam images obtained by Fox 4 Dallas showed a corvette and Lamborghini accelerating on the left road before relaxing in a gray car and other vehicles in front of them.

KDFW later reported that a lawyer representing the classic lifestyle had confirmed that Rice had rented the Lamborghini SUV of the company. According to the classic lifestyle policy, Rice was the only authorized driver of the vehicle for the length of the rental.
Dallas police also told PK Press Club digital occupants in the Corvette and Lamborghini fled and had not exchanged information. They also did not check if someone had been injured or needed help.
Rice missed the last 13 games of the 2024 season due to a knee injury. The receiver underwent postero-lateral corner surgery in October.
