Islamabad:
Pakistan warmly welcomed the British Aviation Safety Committee’s decision to withdraw its air carriers from the British Air Security list, allowing the resumption of commercial flights to the United Kingdom after a five-year interruption.
“This historic decision is an assertion of the sustained diplomatic and technical efforts of Pakistan in recent years. We have shown our firm commitment to comply with and maintain the highest international security standards,” said Foreign Ministry spokesman Shafqat Ali Khan, in a statement.
He said that the removal of the prohibition has marked a significant restoration of connectivity.
