Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered the competent authorities on Thursday to present a political framework for the offer of easy loans to farmers for agricultural activities on medium and small scale.
Priority should be given to the supply of modern agricultural facilities to farmers with less than 12 land acres, the Prime Minister said, said at an agricultural development planning and agro-financing.
The Prime Minister responsible for preparing and presenting a full plan by the end of this month to offer farmers easy loans and the introduction of a system in the agricultural sector aligned with modern requirements.
On this occasion, a detailed briefing was given on current agricultural reforms, the performance of the Limited Agricultural Development Bank and the loans granted to farmers.
Well-being projects
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered Thursday to ensure the validation of third parties in transparency in public well-being projects, in particular those related to drinking water, electricity, communication and education.
He stressed the importance of maintaining high standards in completed and proximity projects thanks to independent validation.
Chairing a review meeting concerning the development projects for the current financial year, the Prime Minister said that delayed projects should be completed as soon as possible.
He said that the construction of high-quality educational centers such as the Danish schools of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Cashmire, and all the provinces were an absolute priority of the government.
The Prime Minister added that educational institutions were an essential element in the development plans for the current exercise, aimed at providing international education and training to children of economically disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring equal development opportunities.
He stressed that the water tanks were crucial for national integrity, and several projects were currently under construction for this purpose.
He noted that the creation of technological parks in Karachi and Islamabad will make Pakistan an important economic center for information technologies both in the region and in the world.
