Islamabad:
The Minister of Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, informed the Senate on Friday that the National Highway Authority (NHA) had achieved a historic increase of 50 billion income rupees during the year 2024-25, with climbing profits of 64 billion rupees to RS110 billion – a remarkable increase of 100%.
The minister has also updated senators on progress on the access roads of the Lowari tunnel. He said that the 33.2 km network is divided into two phases. The first phase, covering 18.6 km, was completed in 2010 and has been used as traffic since. The second phase, extending over 14.6 km, saw its southern segment finished in December 2020.
