In response to recent heavy rain and emergencies related to floods in various parts of the country, the National Highway Authority (NHA) has published a high alert and established a central control room at its head office here.
The president of the NHA, Sheheryar Sultan, asked all the members concerned, the directors general, the project directors and the field staff to remain entirely vigilant with the machines and the equipment necessary in locations affected by the floods.
Orders have been given to the engineers, officers and staff concerned to be present in the areas affected by the floods at any time to carry out emergency operations and restore all kinds of traffic so that the restoration work in the affected areas can be completed in time.
The emergency intervention teams have been deployed in areas affected by floods and will maintain real -time communication with the NHA control room to report land conditions and provide operational updates. President Sultan also ordered NHA officials to guarantee timely and precise public information via social networks, FM radio and television channels.
