The parents of Taylor Swift, Andrea and Scott Swift, have never publicly confirmed a divorce, but longtime speculation on a private separation continue to surface.
Married since 1988, Andrea and Scott have played visible roles in their daughter’s life and career.
However, in 2012, Radar Online cited an anonymous source which said that the couple had quietly separated around 2010 or 2011.
The source alleged that the Swifts had stopped carrying their alliances and chose not to ask for divorce to avoid distracting the growing fame of Taylor.
Since then, no public declaration or legal file has confirmed a divorce.
A recent article by Yahoo Entertainment has reiterated that Swifts remain legally married and have never discussed rumors.
The two continue to be involved in Taylor’s life, Andrea frequently accompanying him on tour and Scott by maintaining a lower public profile.
According to people, the family moved from Pennsylvania to Nashville in 2004 to support the budding career in Taylor. Despite the continuous public interest, the Swifts remained private in their matrimonial state.
While many fans and media interpret their prolonged separation as proof of a split, the lack of official confirmation maintains the question open and largely unanswered.
