Islamabad:
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has planned rains and thunderstorms with strong winds in Islamabad, in certain parts of the Sindh, southern Punjab, Cashmere, Northeast and South Baloutchistan and Hyber Pakhtunkhwa, from Monday (today).
According to the PMD, hot and humid weather has persisted in most regions of the country in the last 24 hours. Strong rains are expected in certain parts of southern Sindh, Eastern Balutchistan and Cashmere, while the rest of the country will remain warm and humid.
In Islamabad and the surrounding area, time should remain partially cloudy and humid, with rainy chances at night. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts should remain hot and humid, but Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Kurram and Waziristan can feel scattered rains with gusty thunderstorms and winds.
In Punjab, time will remain partially cloudy and humid. However, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan can receive rain and thunderstorms. Rawalpindi, Murrier, Galyat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore and the surrounding regions should also receive rain with thunderstorms.
In the Sindh, the areas of Mirpurkhas, Mithi, Tharparkar, Badin, Sujawal, Umerkot, Chhachhro, Padidan, Khairpur, Karachi, Thatta, Ghotki, Chhor, Sukkur, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Jacobad, Larkana, Naushahroze Dadabad, Larkana, Naushahroze, Sanghar, Dadabad, Larkana, Naushahroze, Sanghar, Dadabad, Larkana, Naushahroze, Sanghar, Dadabad, Larkana, Naushahroze, Sanhar, Dadabad, Larkana, Naushahroze, Sanhar, Dadaba Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Matiari and Shaheed Benazirabad should receive rain with thunderstorms, with certain areas likely to undergo strong precipitation.
In Balutchistan, most regions will remain warm and humid, but Barkhan, Sibi, Kohlu, Musakhel, Killa Saifullah, Loralai, Dera Bugti, Nasirabad, Zhob, Kalat, Khuzdar, Awaran and Lasbela can attend rains with thunderstorms.
For cashmere and gilgit-baltistan, it is planned in part now cloudy with rain and thunderstorms. Strong precipitation is probably in isolated places in cashmere.
Citizens are advised to remain vigilant during the activity of thunderstorms and to avoid unnecessary movements in areas where high precipitation and gusty winds are expected.
