Imagine introducing yourself to your weekly ice hockey game to play with some of your friends and your local talents, but two of the best NHL players are ready to face you.
The Stars of the Oilers of Edmonton Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl were completely the Ringers of the Magna Center in Newmarket, Ontario, last Wednesday for the match of the Beer League, but they were in fact upgraded by their opponents, who have the history of hockey for the rest of their lives.
The skating rink is a few minutes from the place where McDavid grew up, and he had his partner in the crime put on in a jersey of the oilers with him on the ice.

Fans in the stands could not believe their eyes when they looked at McDavid and Draisaitl play against loved ones and friends. But the EDMONTON stars did not have the usual point of the night.
In fact, no player has scored a goal.

Instead, there were clips that have become viral on the social media of the goalkeeper of the other team that realizes sweet on McDavid shots.
Now, it should be noted that none of the NHL stars skated at full speed and tried to make their magic offensive patented on the ice. However, they would have been down 4-0 after the first period and finally lost the match, 6-2.

McDavid spoke with ESPN, who said it was not his first time on the ice in this league in which he played during his days of junior hockey. In fact, in 2023, he went to play in the championship match against a team that wore Quinton Byfield on his bench, the star of Los Angeles Kings.
“It’s a league in which I have played with my friends for over 10 years now,” McDavid told ESPN. “We have joined this league when I played junior hockey. I was a little surprised to see that he blew himself up. I have been playing in these matches for more than a decade now. So, it’s pretty funny that it came.”
Maybe McDavid and Draisaitl needed good vibrations with local players after another defeat against the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup final.
They will try once again during the 2025-26 season to defend their title of the Western Conference, and hope that they will be able to raise the Lord Stanley Cup instead of returning empty-handed hands.

While Draisaitl is locked up with the Oilers for the future after having concluded an eight -year contract last year, McDavid should become a free agent without restriction after this season.
