FTX to start the next series of credit reimbursements on September 30

The FTX, the Crypto Stock Exchange which, formerly prominent, will begin the next series of cash redistribution on September 30, the company bankrupt in a statement on Wednesday.

The company, led by the founder Sam Bankman Fried, began to reimburse his creditors earlier this year. FTX reimbursed nearly $ 6.2 billion after obtaining the approval of its redistribution plan by the American bankrupt court.

The former giant of cryptography was a pillar of the digital active ecosystem until a statement of Coindesk in 2022 led to the fall of the Sam Bankman Fried Empire.

In 2023, Bankman Fried was sentenced for seven charges of fraud and conspiracy, and sentenced to 25 years in prison for orchestrated fraud of $ 11 billion. Although, according to a report, his sentence could be reduced by 4 years due to “good behavior”.

FTX also said that it had received the approval from the court to reduce its disputed complaint reserve to $ 4.3 billion, compared to $ 6.5 billion.

The exchange will distribute the money via Bitgo, Kraken and Payoneer.
