Bill Self, the longtime head coach of the Kansas male basketball team, was hospitalized Thursday after having lived “some of the symptoms”.
A university spokesman confirmed that the 62-year-old coach had two stents inserted during heart procedure.
The car remains “in a good mood” and should be released from the hospital in the near future.

“The procedure went very well and it should recover completely,” the school said in a statement. “He’s in a good mood and expects to be published soon from the hospital.”

This is not the first time that the Self has been admitted to the hospital after a fear of health. In 2023, he missed the male basketball tournaments Big 12 and NCAA Division I after having experienced a chest waterproofing. Self also supported balance problems at the time.

The double winning coach of the national championship underwent cardiac catheterization and received a pair of stents to treat the blocked arteries.

Self has patrolled the Kansas touch line since 2003. In addition to the two national titles, the self-training resulted in the Jayhawks at 14 consecutive championships from the regular Big 12 season from 2004 to 2018.
In 2017, Self was inducted at the Naismith Memorial basketball renowned temple.
