British actor Micheal Ward was officially accused of two rape leaders and three chiefs of sexual assault.
Ward, 27, of Cheshunt in the Hertfordshire, should appear at the courtyard of the Magistrate of the Thames in eastern London on August 28, 2025, Bbc reported.
Metropolitan police revealed that the incident occurred in January 2023, involving a woman.
Catherine Baccas, deputy chief prosecutor of the crown for CPS London South, confirmed that the Crown Prosecution Service had examined a proof file and authorized the accusations.
“Micheal Ward was accused of two rape chiefs, two chiefs of penetration assault and a chief of sexual assault,” said the manager.
The Bacca also underlined the importance of a fair trial, reminding the public not to share content or comment which could prejudice the procedure.
Ward, who recently appeared in Joaquin Phoenix’s film and Emma Stone-Starrer Eddington, did not publicly comment on the accusations.
Bafta Rising Star Award’s winner took into account his role as Jamie in Top Boy, which took place from 2013 to 2022. He also later won a BAFTA appointment for the best support actor for his role in Steve McQueen lovers.
