SISAKET: The fighting on the Thai Cargodian border spanned in a third day and that new lightning points emerged on Saturday when the two parties asked for diplomatic support, saying that they had acted in self -defense and calling the other to stop fighting and starting negotiations.
At least 30 people were killed and more than 130,000 people were moved to the worst fights between the neighbors of Southeast Asia in 13 years.
The Thai navy said there were clashes in the coastal province of Trat early Saturday, a new front at more than 100 kilometers (60 miles) other points of conflict along the long -term border.
The two countries have clashed since the murder of a Cambodian soldier at the end of May during a brief skirmish. Troops on both sides of the border were reinforced in the midst of a full diplomatic crisis which brought the government of fragile coalition of Thailand to the edge of collapse.
The number of deaths in Thailand was 19 years old on Saturday, while the spokesman for the Cambodian Defense Ministry Maly Scheata said that five soldiers and eight civilians had been killed in the fighting.
In the Kanthralak district, the province of Sisaket in Thailand, on the border near some of the clashes, the worker of the Hotel Chianuwat Thalalai said that the city had emptied.

“Almost everyone left, it’s almost a deserted city,” the 31 -year -old player told Reuters. “My hotel is always open to some of them closer to the border area that need a place to stay.”
Thailand’s Ambassador to the United Nations said on Friday at a meeting of the Security Council that soldiers had been injured by newly planted land mines on Thai territory twice since mid -July – said Cambodia denied strongly – and said Cambodia then launched attacks on Thursday morning.
“Thailand urges Cambodia to immediately stop all hostilities and acts of aggression, and resume dialogue in good faith,” Cherdchai Chaivavidy told the council in the remarks published in the media.
History of disputes
The Cambodia Ministry of Defense said that Thailand launched on Thursday “a deliberate, unlike and illegal” military attack “and now mobilized troops and military equipment on the border.
“These deliberate military preparations reveal the intention of Thailand to expand its assault and to violate Cambodia’s sovereignty more,” the ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
Cambodia has called for the international community to “condemn the assault of Thailand in the strongest terms” and to prevent an expansion of the military activities of Thailand.
Bangkok reiterated that he wanted to resolve the bilateral dispute, telling the CSNU that it was “deeply regrettable that Cambodia deliberately avoided a significant dialogue and rather sought to internationalize the question to serve its own political objectives”.
Thailand and Cambodia have bicked for decades for jurisdiction of various points not started along their 817 km (508 miles), with the ownership of the ancient Hindu temples TA moaning Thom and the 11th century Preah Vihear.
Preah Vihear was awarded to Cambodia by the International Court of Justice in 1962, but the tension intensified in 2008 after Cambodia tried to list it as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This has resulted in skirmishes over several years and at least a dozen deaths.
Cambodia said in June that he had asked the court to resolve his disputes with Thailand, who said he had never recognized the jurisdiction of the court and prefers a bilateral approach.
