Three coal minors lost their lives after inhaling a coal mine in Orakzai on Saturday.
According to the engineer of the inspector of Mines Arshad Ali, one of the mines has been closed for a year. However, when the mine manager entered it with two workers, they did not return.
“According to the standard operational procedures (SOPS) fixed for mines, no one is allowed to enter inside before unloading carbon monoxide gas. But they entered inside, ignoring the sops; so they lost their lives,” he said.
The deceased was identified as Sher Zaman, Rahimullah and Aslam.
