Terry Bradshaw did not get his wish.

When rumors swirled that Aaron Rodgers joined Bradshaw Steelers in Pittsburgh, Bradshaw called him “joke”.

After months of speculation, Rodgers signed a one -year agreement with the Steelers, saying that it would be his last season in the NFL.

Rodgers is now in his 21st training camp, including 18 with Green Bay packers and two with the New York Jets.

Inevitably, Rodgers was questioned about Bradshaw, and he could not help laughing.

“I whisper to the gods every day,” joked Rodgers, referring to what Bradshaw said months ago.

But Rodgers took the high road while pleading with Bradshaw to ignore the negative titles of Rodgers.

“I have known Terry for a long time, part of Fox. Terry is a legend. He is an absolute legend. He won four Super Bowls. He had a legendary career in the media,” said Rodgers to the NFL network. “But Terry, like many people, doesn’t know me.

“And, therefore, he has an idea of what he thinks of me depending on what I have done, the documentary, what I said, the retirement of darkness, whatever you wanted to speak. I would love to know Terry at a deeper level. I have the impression that if he gave me a chance to know him, so we would have a good friendship.

So, I would like to get to know Terry at a deeper level if it is open. And maybe we can chew bark or anyway, he speaks together. “”

Rodgers also said that he had “only the greatest respect and deference” for what Bradshaw and other “big ones have done”.

“They made the foundations so that we could play in this big game. To be paid like kings and perpetuate the tradition of excellence that guys love the bradshaws of the world in the 70s and Bart Starr in the 60s and [Vince] Lombardi and Joe Montana and Steve Young and Troy Aikman and Brett Favre and all the big ones, “he said.

“We are on the back of these guys. It is because of the way they played and how they behaved that we can have the opportunity to play this big game, to be very well paid, to prepare us for our future.”
