The war was finished between Shemar Stewart and the Bengals of Cincinnati.
After an impasse and a one -month word war, the first round choice finally signed his recruit contract on Saturday, the team announced.
Cincy selected Stewart, the Texas A&M defensive, with the 17th choice in total of the draft in April, and things have become on the right foot.

Bengals would have tried to restructure how their first -round recruit contracts are finished, which would allow the team to cancel future guarantees.
“I am 100%right,” he said about his position about his recruit contract in June. “I don’t ask anything that you (Bengals) never does before. But in your case, you all want to win arguments (more) than winning more games.”
Stewart had attended meetings during the Mini-Camp but did not go up on the field. He did not relate to training camp earlier this week, which upset the director of Bengals, Duke Tobin.

Dan Orlovsky d’Espn says that praying for Damar Hamlin in the air was “uncomfortable” but necessary
“I think Shemar must be here,” Tobin told journalists. “I’m not going to blame Shemar. He listens to the advice he pays for. I do not understand, I do not believe or do not agree with the advice, but I do not pay him. If I felt that we are unfairly dealing because it relates to all other draft choices in this year’s project, so maybe it would be a different story. But we are not really.
After the back and forth, the Stewart agreement is worth $ 18.97 million, fully guaranteed, with a signature bonus of $ 10 million. He became the last first round choice in 2025 to sign an agreement.
Bengals missed the playoffs last year, largely due to poor quality defense. Now, Bengals could draw their attention to Trey Hendrickson, who led the NFL in bags last year.

However, the longtime veterinarian of the NFL is also a holdout, saying that he had not heard of the Bengals brass on a new agreement from the project.
