The WWE star, Chelsea Green, announced that she was taking a break in social media Friday evening after receiving the backlash for her remarks on Hulk Hogan after the death of the professional struggle icon.
Green, like many in the world of professional struggle, offered its condolences in the middle of Hogan’s death. She appeared Thursday in the 24/7 show of CBS News and called her an “absolute icon” despite her “polarizing political opinions”.

Hogan supported President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election and has already been considered a polarizing and controversial figure after the audio disclosed has shown him racist remarks. He lost his favor with fans of professional struggle because of this.
Green’s remarks about Hogan have attracted fans’ achievements on social networks, and she addressed them in an initial post.
“An important part of my role at @Wwe involves getting involved with the public and answering questions, often on live platforms”, wrote Green on X. “Yesterday, I was asked to comment Hulk Hogan on live television. Allow me to be clear: my position on racism is unshakable. I do not tolerate it-the period.
“If my answer (or the tweet) seemed disdainful of real concerns, I sincerely apologize. It was never my intention. I tried to recognize a death with respect, even when the inheritance is complicated. I learn one day and will continue to learn.”

The backlash seemed to continue and Green has moved away from social media.
“I tried to keep my positive and comic page, but today, many has changed … And that struck stronger than what I expected. The name, death threats, faceless accounts,” she added.
“Social media was supposed to be a fun place and it hasn’t been for some time. It has been overwhelming and I have to go away a little.”
Hogan died Thursday after undergoing a potential heart event at his home in Florida.
