George Lucas, who is known to create Star Wars, made its first appearance in San Diego Comic-Con to preview the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art.
It is the institution of Los Angeles that he has co -founded, which will focus on narrative art involving narration through all forms.
In the Comic-Con’s Hall H panel, he is joined by his colleague filmmaker Guillermo del Toro and Doug Chiang, while Queen Latifah was a moderator.
“I have been doing this for 50 years, and that came to my mind:” What am I going to do with all this? “Because I refuse to sell it.
In addition, on its appearance of “the history of history”, David Glanzer, director of communications and strategy of Comic-Con, said: “We are more delighted to welcome George Lucas at Comic-Con for the very first time”.
“Almost five decades ago, ‘Star Wars’ made one of its first public appearances during our convention, as well as a stand featuring the now legendary poster of” Star Wars “by Howard Chaykin as a promotional object. “”
He continued: “Now, that Mr. Lucas returns – this moment to start the Lucas narrative art museum – is a real moment in a full circle. His dedication to life to visual narration and the construction of the world resonates deeply with us and our community. ”
“And the museum’s mission to celebrate narrative art in all its forms perfectly reflects what Comic-Con defended from the start,” added the executive.
The Lucas museum, where his wife, Mellody Hobson, is also founder, will open next year at Park Exposition.
