Three terrorists of the prohibition of Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), including an allegedly involved in the attack of last year against Chinese engineers, were killed during a joint operation by the Department of Fighting Terrorism (CTD) and intelligence agencies in the mangopir region of Karachi at the end of Sunday evening.
On November 5, 2024, a private security guard at a Karachi textile factory opened fire and seriously injured two Chinese nationals.
According to police, a deceased suspect, identified as Zafran, had a bonus of 20 million rupees on him and was accused of participation in the textile attack of Liberty 2024 targeting Chinese nationals. He was also linked to the assault on the Karachi police office (KPO).

The incident prompted the Minister of the Interior, the Minister of the Interior, Mohin Naqvi to improve the security of Chinese citizens in Pakistan.
He pointed out that the protection of Chinese nationals has remained an absolute priority, in particular the ongoing projects of the economic corridor of China-Pakistan (CPEC), vital for the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

CTD chief Raja Umar Khattab said the RAID had been launched on the basis of credible information concerning a terrorist hiding place in the Fatima company on IJTEMA GAH ROAD.
The police said the terrorists opened fire when they spotted them approaching, triggering a shooting that lasted more than an hour.
The three alleged terrorists were killed, the police said, adding that a fully assembled suicide jacket, three grenades, a Kalashnikov rifle, two pistols and a large cache of ammunition was recovered from the site.
In addition, the police found a newspaper that lists two to three high -value potential targets.
The second deceased suspect was identified as Qudratullah and the identity of the third has not yet been confirmed.
The CTD chief said the three suspected terrorists belonged to TTP cells sent to Afghanistan. Intelligence officials have studied the cell for several days, he added.
Khattab also added that the TTP cell in question would have five members, but only three were present at the Safehouse during the raid.
A research operation in the region and a more in -depth investigation are underway.
