Nine killed in a Chakwal Road accident

A passenger bus overturned on Sunday on the M-2 motorway in Chakwal, leading to the death of nine passengers and injuries to 31 others. The bus transported more than 40 passengers. The tragic incident took place near the Balkasar interchange in the Dhoke Sial district.

According to eyewitnesses, the passenger bus – Recording number JA -6871 – traveling from Islamabad to Lahore met an accident after one of his tysres broke out due to the speed.

The accident was so serious that eight passengers died on the spot and 31 others injured. One of the injured then died of injuries while being transferred to the hospital, increasing the number of dead.

After receiving the emergency call, the 1122 rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene, provided first aid to the injured and transferred them to neighboring hospitals.

According to rescue officials, the accident was caused by speed, neglect and neglect on the part of the driver.

Chakwal police also reached the site shortly after the accident. According to the police spokesman, the injured included 17 men and 14 women. Among the deceased, there were two men, four women, an 8 -year -old boy, a 2 -year -old girl and an 8 -month -old child.

Chakwal’s 1122 rescue teams have moved all people injured and deceased it at the Chakwal district (DHQ) district headquarters and at the Kallar Kahar trauma center.

Chakwal assistant commissioner, Madam Sarah Hayat, and the district police officer (DPO) LT (RETD) Ahmad Mohiuddin visited the hospital to inquire.

The DC asked hospital staff to ensure the best possible medical treatment. According to police spokesperson, DPO Mohiuddin trained a special team to stop the bus driver. Judicial procedures are underway and the police have initiated an official investigation into the incident.
