- Several new rumors indicate significant specification bumps for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
- The flagship product of the new generation of Samsung could obtain a load of 60 W, a thinner design, better cameras and more
- The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has not been announced, and we do not expect any confirmation anyway for these rumors before next year
It seems to be difficult to believe, but it has been almost half a year since the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Since the launch, the latest high -end handset of Samsung has continued to impress, holding places in our lists of the best phones, the best camera phones, the best Android phones, etc.
Now, a handful of new rumors indicate certain major upgrades for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, which could make the best Samsung Galaxy phone even more impressive.
Faster load
The first suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could be launched with an increased maximum charging speed of 60 W – for reference, Ultra Galaxy S25 loads at 45 W.
It is according to the user Erenyilmaz075 on X, who managed to find references to a 60W load in what seems to be the new firmware Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Compared to its Western contemporaries, the Galaxy S25 ultra loaded fairly quickly – we previously reported that the iPhone 16 Pro Max had been recorded as drawing 28W during the tests by Chargerlab, while the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL is also evaluated at 45W.
However, many Android phones now offer very fast load speeds. OnePlus and Oppo phones benefit from owner Supervooc technology, for example, which generally offers speeds of around 80 W.
With the Galaxy S26 Ultra which should inherit the same 5000mah cell of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, I think that a drawing of a bump will be a valid and precious addition which should considerably reduce charging times.
A thinner framework
Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the last in its range of foldable phones – and it is clear simply by looking at the new handset that Samsung has invested massively in a new thinner design for its most expensive phone.
Another rumor suggests that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could be the next online for a mini overhaul.
In an article by X (formerly Twitter), a notable universter Tipster Universeice (formerly known as ICE universes, and now using the Phoneart display name), said that the Galaxy S26 Ultra would arrive at “7.x mm”, 8.2 mm on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This could involve a reduction of 0.3 mm up to 1.2 mm.
Universeice has also shared a rendering from the Galaxy S26 Ultra which shows the three largest cameras contained in a Galaxy Z Fold 7 to 7 case, probably because the main body of the phone would be too thin to adapt to cameras.
This is what we currently know about the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: the body will become even thinner at 7, x mm, with a slightly increased width and height, while weighing a few grams of less than 6.9 inches with a Coe Depolarizer + third generation anti-reflective technology… Pic.twitter.com/jp0m8RtJuly 28, 2025
A new chipset
The Galaxy S26 Ultra should be launched with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, which is still unexpected but will probably be the most powerful chipset available for Android users when it was launched.
This could mark a distribution between the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the regular Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26 Plus, which should both launch with Samsung Exynos 2600 chipset.
This was suggested following a deep dive of firmware by Sambobile, and supported by other universice comments.
Onei 8.5
Onei 7 launched with the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy S25 Ultra among them – but an IU 8 is already there, having launched with the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 Pling Phones.
According to another Sammobile report, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will rather be launched with an 8.5 user interface, an updated version of the current generation software in Samsung.
This should allow Samsung to publish the Galaxy S26 Ultra with new features without engaging in a full version update.
Since the deployment of a user interface 7 has been staggered over several months, Samsung can also be eager to avoid the new surrounding news in the Galaxy S26 Launch series with the news of a slow software outlet.
Improved cameras
As we previously pointed out, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is switched to upgrades in its camera system.
Universeice has again suggested that the main sensor will obtain a larger opening and that the 3X telephoto lens will obtain a larger sensor. The witness also referred to a larger opening for 5x telephoto lens.
The Galaxy S series upgrade cycle has seemed quite progressive in recent years – but if these rumors are true, the ultra galaxy S26 could be a much larger upgrade. Let us know what you want to see from the next high-end Samsung headlight in the comments below.
