Epson announced today the LASSON PRO CINEMA LS9000 4K 3LCD laser projector. The new entry at a lower cost in the company’s range of Pro Cinema projectors of the company is making its debut this week at the Audio Advice Live Show, which takes place from August 1 to 3, 2025, in Raleigh, in North Carolina.
At the price of $ 3,999 (around £ 2,995 / $ 6,135 at), the Epson LS9000 provides a more affordable alternative to the Epson Pro Cinema LS12000 ($ 5,999), currently the first choice of our best projector guide. Like this model, the new LS9000 is a 4K 3LCD model with HDR10 +, HDR10 and HLG support. It also uses a laser light source evaluated for 20,000 hours and has a motorized lens with fueled zoom, focus and +/- 96% vertical and up to +/- 24% of horizontal lens shift.
With 2,200 lumens of white (ISO) and color (nominal IDMS), the LS9000 is not as powerful as the LS12000, which is evaluated for 2,700 white brightness. But like this model, it has 4K 120Hz support on its double HDMI 2.1 ports for games (EARC and ARC are also supported).
The EPSON ZX image processor performs a real -time frame interpolation and an image improvement on the LS9000, which also has a powered lens cover that slips when the projector is off. A memory zoom option allows you to use the projector with ultra-large 2.35: 1 screens, and it also supports third-party anamorphic objectives to use with the same.
A cheaper pro series? We will take it
At Cedia Expo 2024, Epson started the Q Epson series, a 4K laser projector trio targeting the high -end residential market. What distinguished them from the other Epson projectors are the high brightness specifications of the Q series, from 3,300 lumens for the QB1000, with up to 10,000 lumens for the Epson QL7000 lighthouse.
Such a high light output makes the Q series a perfect option for support rooms or open salons, where a certain degree of ambient lighting is preferred.
With 2,200 brightness of brightness, the new LS9000 is addressed more to traditional theaters in the black room, where the two -speed dynamic contrast adjustment of the projector will allow it to project crisp 4K films with a powerful contrast (the specifications of the Epson contrast ratio cite more than 2.5 million to a).
The LS9000 HDMI 2.1 double ports with 4K 120Hz support also makes an excellent game option with new generation consoles or PCs. And at $ 3,999, the last of Epson is a game projector at a more reasonable price than the other models in its range, and it is also the one that should do double duty for films.
