The quarter of Chicago Bears Caleb Williams enters a second critical season, but he does not feel any pressure.

Williams, 23, led the Bears at the start of 4-2 before losing his next 10 games.

The defeat sequence prompted the team to dismiss the head coach Matt Eberflus with five games to play in the season. The dismissal of Eberflus was the first time that the Bears have drawn a head coach in mid-season.

The team hired Ben Johnson, who was the offensive coordinator of Detroit Lions’ offensive since 2022, to be their head coach. The Bears hired Johnson, a head coach with an attacking spirit, to help unlock Williams’ potential.

Williams said he wanted to become the first quarter of the Bears to launch for more than 4,000 yards in a season and finish 70% of his passes this season. However, the overall choice n ° 1 of 2024 feels no pressure to achieve these objectives.

“Pressure is not one thing for me,” said Williams on “Waddle & Silvy” by ESPN 1000.

“I don’t think about it in this way. It is not my job to worry about what outside noise is and things like that. My job is to take care of everything here and go there and play.”

“I know that we did not win as many games as we wanted last year, but I did not succeed 20 (affected) and 20 interceptions and things like that. So, you know, take it for what you want, but no pressure is widespread; pressure is a privilege, but you know the situation in which I am. I don’t think I have no pressure.”

Despite the difficulties of the Bears last season, Williams’ game gave fans of the Bears hopes that it could be the quarter of the franchise that they have desperately sucked.

Although he did not reach his goals last season, Williams does not feel the pressure to achieve his new goals for this season.
