Quetta:
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) of Quetta dismissed Mahrang Baloch, the head of the Baloch Yakjehti (BYC) committee, and other group organizers for 20 days on Saturday.
The detention of Chef BYC was again extended. In March, Mahrang and other members of the BYC were detained for having attacked the Civil Hospital Quetta and causing public troubles, following a repression of the police during their protest against the alleged allegedly imposed.
Mahrang is currently detained in the Hudda district prison in Quetta under article 3 of the MPO, a legal provision which allows the authorities to arrest individuals considered as a threat to public peace.
