The new KTC H27P3 monitor enters the market with a proposal that is difficult to ignore: a 5K resolution display at only $ 570.
The company targets professionals and general users who need a high resolution panel without the premium price generally associated with 5K monitors.
The instructor is already available for pre-order on the KTC website, shipping should start in mid-August 2025.
Target creators with high specifications at a modest price
The H27P3, which we reported for the first time in April 2025, offers an IPS resolution 5120 × 2880 @ 60Hz display, designed to meet creative tasks such as photo modification, graphic design and critical work.
It also includes a 2560 × 1440 mode at 120 Hz, allowing users to switch between great clarity and a smoother movement, according to their needs.
KTC describes this as a “double -mode” experience, combining visual accuracy with reactive performance.
The panel is calibrated in the factory with a Delta E less than 2 and supports 100% SRGB, 99% Adobe RVB and 99% DCI-P3.
These are specifications that correspond to the expectations of a monitor for video publishing or the creation of digital content.
HDR400 certification, a luminosity rating of 500 nit and a 2000 contrast ratio: 1 suggest management of the high content of the dynamic range, at least on paper.
In terms of design, the monitor has a thin frame and an aluminum support offering tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustments.
At 3.75 kg and with a compact factor, it could also serve as a portable monitor solution adapted to an office for moving professionals or those working in tight spaces.
The stand is described as minimalist and robust, although its visual appeal and its office imprint can divide opinion.
Connectivity is wide, with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, USB-C with load 65W and two USB-A ports.
This gives the flexibility of the monitor to integrate into a wide range of configurations, office PCs and laptops with uniform game consoles.
A headphone jack is also included, and KTC ships the unit with the necessary cables and even a screwdriver.
However, although all the features are promising, it remains to be seen how the H27P3 works in real world scenarios – such as specifications like HDR400 and 8 bits + FRC can be beautiful in marketing but are often short of practice.
For the moment, the H27P3 stands out as an ambitious and favorable sales instructor to a budget that could appeal to a large audience, provided that it lives up to its claims once used
