Sindh:
The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Sukkur will now carry out the admission test of medical and dental colleges (MDCAT), replacing individual universities in a major change in the admission process of medical and dental colleges.
The decision was made at a meeting of the Sindh cabinet on Thursday, which also discussed the implementation of a unified admission policy in all the medical and dental colleges in the province.
Last year, the MDCAT retirement exam was carried out successfully through the Sindh in accordance with the Sindh High Court guidelines by IBA SUKKUR.
In total, 38,684 candidates participated in the retirement exam held simultaneously in six cities: Karachi, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana and Sukkur. Security and logistical support have been provided by provincial and district authorities, as well as agencies such as FIA and the intelligence office (IB). Iba Sukkur assured that the infallible arrangements were in place for the gentle driving of the exam.

According to a spokesperson for the Sindh chief minister, the new policy will also apply to institutions in the public and private sector, the Department of Provincial Health continuing to regulate admissions.
Currently, the public sector offers 2,550 MBB and 500 BDS seats, while the private sector has 1,441 MBB and 2,025 dental seats.
Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the change follows irregularities in the previous MDCAT. He stressed that transparency and merit in the admission policy are the main priorities of the government.
