Seven years after playing his last NFL match, the former Kansas City Chiefs star, Derrick Johnson, turns his attention to the education of young people from America.
Johnson, who published his first children’s book on Thursday, felt obliged to join the effort to encourage children to defend themselves against the intimidators after witnessing a negative influence on young Americans in recent years.
He blamed “the devil” for this influence.

“The enemy really likes to make our children say in a corner:” Hey, does not say to anyone, just to internalize him “, told Johnson to PK Press Club Digital. “The enemy is the devil. I am a great believer in Jesus Christ, and the enemy is always at work, especially for children who have potential.
“And if the children have no mentors around them, the enemy can manipulate them sometimes and make things seem more than it is and give the impression that they do not have a way out. And that is when you enter the children who really isolate themselves.”
Johnson encouraged parents to instill Jesus Christ’s teachings to their children to help counter these “harmful” elements.
“If you are a child of God, no one can alleviate this light. So you have been bought at a high price, by the blood of Jesus Christ, which allows you to be here,” said Johnson about the effect of Christianity on parenting. “Being able to have this identity in Christ is all. It allows them to remain anchored, not that life will be perfect if you have the church … But at least you have the appropriate tools to make things happen.”

Johnson cited modern digital devices as a channel for the way this negative influence was imposed on children and prevented them from speaking and repelling “harmful” forces in their lives.
“Digital devices make us less friendly,” said Johnson. “Children put themselves on these iPhones, and you never know what they see there. And they don’t even deliberately do it, it’s just attention. … Now there is cyberbullying, there are many different ways to be able to intimidate someone and really kill their confidence through social media and so on.”
As the son of a veteran professor, the former secondary also underlined a drop in the quality of public education in America.
“It gets worse. And that is why I am in this fight,” said Johnson about American public education. “My mom having been a teacher for over 40 years, I know what it means to serve young people at a high level. And, often, they just need help and more resources so that they can really push the mission.

“Public schools are stopped.
Johnson does his part to try to contribute his experience to American education with his new book “Super DJ Saves Field Day”. Johnson said he was already planning to write outskirts and create a series.
